Illustration, prints & patterns. Coffee. Nature. The fifties. The color green. More coffee. That, in short, is me. The longer version is, of course, much more complicated.

Although I have finished the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague,

I ended up as a journalist first and as a university college teacher in creative and editorial writing later. And then, in 2013, I fell of my bike and hurt my head quite badly.

Long story short: I'm illustrating again, because I love it and it's much better for my head than writing, reading or even thinking. (Not that I've stopped doing that completely, don't worry.)

If you like my work, feel free to look around here and follow me on social media. Want to buy one of my illustrations or prints? Questions? Remarks? Please mail me. Hope to hear from you!

P.S. If you want to know a bit more about me: there's an interview with me at Ballpitmag.com. And if you're Dutch you can also read this article about me and my work on the site of De Toffe Toko.

Danish pastry (above right) is an original drawing (ink and marker),

the blue tea cup (below left) is a riso print, that's made in an edition of six.

If you are interested in one of them, please contact me!
