A couple of weeks ago I saw a message on Twitter that caught my eye. A message from Sarah Hamilton, who argued that it's kind of strange that we buy an expensive cup of coffee without blinking an eye, but that we ave great difficulty in buying cards, drawing, prints i.e. original art from independent makers. And that why she started the Just a card movement and coined the 28th of September as Just a card day. For obvious reasons I love this initiative. Because buying a card (or a print or a drawing) from an independent maker makes a HUGE difference to that maker - even if you only buy one card. And in addition to that difference, you get another reward: a product that is made with pure love :-) So, go on and buy art from independent makers like me - what are you waiting for?
